Day 1: MONTREAL-ROME Departure from Montreal to Rome/Fiumicino airport Day 2: ROME Arrival at Rome Airport. Private transfer to hotel. Remainder of day free. Accommodation at hotel. Day 3: ROME Breakfast at hotel. Morning, you will visit the different sights and eras of Rome. The motor coach will head toward La Via Cavour, and you will see La Piazza Della Repubblica, Esquilino Place, the Art Museum, the Fountain of Trevi (visit), the Pantheon, the largest pagan temple built by Emperor Hadrian, Piazza Navona, the most beautiful baroque area of Rome, with its famous Fountain of Four Rivers, Bernini’s Masterpiece, the Palace of Justice, the Castel Sant’Angelo, The Popes’ Ancient Fortress, Via Della Conciliazione and St. Peter’s Basilica. Afternoon and evening free. Accommodation at hotel.
Day 4: ROME-ASSISI-FLORENCE Departure from Rome for Assisi, city built on the slopes of Mount Subasio and surrounded by old bastions. Visit to San Francesco’s Basilica where Giotto’s and Cimabue’s Masterpieces are kept. Continue on to FLORENCE, cradle of the Renaissance. Supper and accommodations in Florence. Day 5: FLORENCE-PADOVA-VENICE Morning, guided tour of the city: Piazza del Duomo, Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, the Baptistery, Giotto’s Campanile, 13th Century Santa Croce Franciscan Church and the Arts Academy, where Michelangelo’s statue of the David is kept. Departure for PADOVA and a guided tour of the city and Sant’ Antonio’s Basilica. Continue on to VENICE for supper and accommodations. Day 6: VENICE Morning, guided city tour to see the Bridge of Sighs, Piazza San Marco, Palace of Dogi, and ancient prisons. You will visit a glass blown factory. Supper and accommodation in Venice. Day 7: VENICE-PISA Breakfast at hotel and departure in air-conditioned motor coach to PISA. Check-in at hotel. Afternoon, guided tour of city: Piazza dei Miracoli, the Tour of PISA and the Baptistery. Supper and accommodation.
Day 8: PISA-SIENA-ROME Breakfast at hotel and departure for SIENA. Free day to visit this charming, medieval city including the Piazza del Campo. Afternoon return to Rome. Accommodation at hotel.
Day 9: ROME-NAPLES-POMPEI-SORRENTO Continental breakfast at hotel. This morning, departure from Rome with motor coach taking the auto route “Del Sole” crossing the region of Lazio and Campania seeing a spectacular view of Montecassino. Upon arrival in NAPLES, you will have a brief visit of the city including Castel Dell’ovo, Margellina, Plebiscite, the Royal Palace, Maschio and the Port. En route toward POMPEI, you will stop to visit a Coral & Cameo Factory. You will see the excavations of Pompei, a city destroyed by the eruption of the Vesuvius Volcano in 79 AD. After lunch in a local restaurant, you will continue your journey along the coastal panoramic route to Sorrento. Supper and hotel accommodations in Sorrento. Day 10: SORRENTO-CAPRI-SORRENTO Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the Port for departure by ferry to CAPRI. Arrival in Capri Marina Grande and weather permitting, you will visit the famous BLUE GROTTO. Return to Miranda for departure to ANACAPRI. After lunch in a typical restaurant, the tour will continue to the famous Piazzetta, elegant area in the heart of Capri. Visit the AUGUSTUS GARDENS with its breathtaking and panoramic view of the FARAGLIONI. Supper and hotel accommodations in Sorrento. Day 11: SORRENTO/AMALFI Breakfast at hotel. In the morning you will leave for AMALFI. On route, you will see different fishing villages, one of which is POSITANO, The Pearl of the Amalfi coast. Supper and hotel accommodations in Sorrento. Day 12: AMALFI Day is free to appreciate the beauty of this magnificent seaside resort. You may board a local bus to visit POSITANO and RAVELLO. Supper and accommodation at hotel. Day 13: AMALFI-SORRENTO-ROME After breakfast at hotel, you will be driven to SORRENTO for your return to Rome. Accommodation at hotel. Day 14: ROME/MONTREAL Breakfast. Transfer to Airport.
