TOUR DEPARTURES ON SUNDAY FLIGHTS AVAILABLE ON REQUEST DAY 1 SUNDAY: ATHENS Arrival at Athens airport, transfer to your hotel. Remainder of the day free. Accommodation in Athens. DAY 2: ATHENS After breakfast, you will take a guided tour to Athens. This tour will give you the opportunity to see the diversity of this fascinating city. With the services of a professional guide, you will visit Constitution Square, the House of Parliament, the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, The Temple of Zeus Olympian, the Olympic Stadium, the Royal Palace, the Academy and University, and without omission, of course, the Acropolis, with the Parthenon, one of the most renowned sites in Athens.

DAY 3: ATHENS – DELPHI

From Athens, departure for the classical tour of “Delphi and the Meteora” 3days/2 nights. You will proceed along the road via the fertile plains of Boeotia, passing the towns of Levadia, Thebes and Arachova, the latter reputed for its colourful carpets (brief stop). Finally, you will reach Delphi, also considered to be the centre of the universe by the ancient Greeks. You will begin your visit at the Sanctuary of Apollo, the treasure of the Athenians and the Temple of Apollo. After lunch, you will continue your tour towards the Delphi Museum, where you will see the famous bronze sculpture of Athlete Aghias. Supper and accommodation in Delphi.

DAY 4:  DELPHI – KALAMBAKA

Morning free in Delphi. After lunch, departure for Kalambaka (the gateway to the Meteora) passing from the centre of Greece. After arriving in Kalambaka, you will savour a succulent typical Greek supper.

DAY 5:  KALAMBAKA – ATHENS

In the morning you will visit the Monasteries of Meteora, built on the summit of huge rock formations. Your return to Athens you will pass by the cities of Trikala, Lamia and Kamena Vourla, and a brief stop in Thermopulae will permit you to see the monument of King Leonidas. Arrival, early evening in Athens. Accommodations in Athens.

DAY 6 FRIDAY:  DEPARTURE FOR THE 7-DAY GOLD FLEECE CRUISE

After breakfast, the moment has arrived to take your cruise in the Greek islands. Our representative will greet you and take care of your baggage for your transfer to the Port of Piraeus to embark on your 7-day cruise. Evening and night at sea.

DAY 7:  THESSALONIKI

(Arrival 07:30 – Departure 13:00)

DAY 8:  ISTANBUL

Arrival in Istanbul at 09:30. Optional excursions to: The Blue Mosque, St. Sophia Cathedral, the Soliman Mosque or the magnificent Sultan Palace of Topkapi. Departure from Istanbul at 20:00. Supper and entertainment on board the ship.

DAY 9: MYKONOS

(Arrival 15:00 – Departure 24:00)

Arrival in Mykonos in the afternoon. Mykonos is also known as the island of Wind Mills. You will zigzag through the small lanes of the characteristically whitewashed homes of Mykonos. After your return, your supper will be served on board followed by an evening entertainment.

DAY 10:  KUSADASI

Upon your arrival in Kusadasi, a multitude of archaeological treasures await you, beginning with the ruins of the Temple of Diane, formerly known as one of the Seven Great Wonders of the World. From there, you will return to the ship for lunch, and continue your voyage to the destination of Patmos.

Patmos (Arrival 15:30 – Departure 19:00)

Your second port of call for the day is Patmos. This sacred island was formerly considered to be the Jerusalem of the Aegeans. An optional excursion will be offered to the monastery of St. John dating back to the 11^th century; as well as a visit of the Grotto, where according to tradition, St. John wrote his Apocalypse.

DAY 11: RHODES

(Arrival 07:00 – departure 19:00)

Arrival early morning in Rhodes. The ship will enter the same port where the Mystical Colossus of Rhodes supposedly stood and was considered another of the Seven Great Wonders of the World. An optional excursion will be offered, a half-day trip to Lindos, site of the Temple of Athena. Upon your return to Rhodes, you are free to stroll,(on your own) the medieval streets of the city, before embarking the ship for the evening. Supper and entertainment on board.

DAY 12: HERAKLION

(Arrival 07:00 – departure 12:00)

Your first port of call of the day is the port of Heraklion, the capital of Crete. This island is the largest of the Greek islands and according to legend, where the Greek God Zeus was born. Optional visit of Knossos, the mythical palace of King Minos and the Minotaure, as well as the Archaeological Museum in Heraklion.

Santorini (Arrival 16:30 – Departure 21:00)

You will arrive in Santorini in the late afternoon. Santorini is considered by many to be the most spectacular and majestic of all Greek islands. Fira, the Capital, is very characteristic with its whitewashed homes, narrow zigzag lanes, small cafes with terraces and its scintillating boutiques embracing the arduous hills that are accessible by funicular railway or by a donkey ride.

DAY 13: PIRAEUS (ATHENS)

 END OF CRUISE

Arrival at the port of Athens. After breakfast on board, transfer to hotel. Remainder of the day free in Athens.

DAY 14: ATHENS – MONTREAL

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Athens airport for your return to Canada. End of services.
